Cap and Trade
Get ready America, we’re about to take another kick in the backside from Washington. You may not be aware of this Waxman-Markey Bill, which just squeaked past the US House of Representatives and is headed for the Senate, but you should be. The bill is also known as the Cap and Trade Bill, in which, should it pass, the United States will see it’s single highest tax increase in history. Want the numbers? Americans will see a tax increase of $872 billion from 2010 to 2019, should this tax and spend bill be passed.

Things Fall Apart
The title for this post is actually the title of a book by Chinua Achebe, but it is also a great theory, that everything eventually falls apart. Last night I had this wonderful --err-- awful epiphany that struck me and everything just fell into place. I saw the country heading down this road of progressivism which will ultimately lead us to a backward, cro-Magnon society (pick your dystopia here: Ayn Rand's Anthem, Orwell's Oceania, etc.). We will eventually do everything for the good of everyone else. Perhaps we should just eliminate the pronoun 'I' from ou

It’s Time To Get After Our Senators- Again!
Now that the latest assault on the American people has passed the House in the form the Waxman-Markey Energy Bill, or as I prefer to characterize it, the Cap & Tax Act, it is time to ratchet up the pressure on the Senate to make sure this travesty does not become law.
Philandering Republicans: Get Out Now!
BASTARD is the word Michelle Malkin had for Republican Gov. Mark Sanford of S.C. regarding his affair with his very good friend. The Gov. left his four sons at home on Father’s Day weekend to be with his Latin lover- what a guy!

Side effects of national health care
Haste makes waste! We have seen it with TARP, the stimulus bill, and the appointment of czars. The president is acting as if a hurricane is predicted for tomorrow. A 1,100-page stimulus bill is passed without its being read because it needs to be passed now. The TARP bill had to be voted on and passed immediately, but then not signed by the president until several days later and 94 percent of the money has yet to be spent. Another week and the whole economy would collapse. Instill fear and you can get people to do just about anything; that includes the Congress.
