Dean Scontras gave a presentation of the Republican Project to an audience of 20 area Republicans in New Gloucester on January 30.
The meeting, organized by RP county project leader Ellie Espling, was attended by state rep Jane Austin as well as several others who had either run for office in the last election cycle, or been closely involved with area campaigns. The lack of support from state and county party organizations was lamented by all. The efforts of the Republican Project to address these problems and to introduce efficient organizing techniques and technologies was hailed as a huge and welcome step towards a Republican turnaround in 2010. Many in attendance pledged to donate time, money, and to organize future events.
