The Quinn Home - Falmouth

Over 40 people filed into the Quinn's home in Falmouth, Maine on Tuesday evening to learn about the Republican Project. The discussion was brisk and the questions were robust. Most importantly, the enthusiasm was high. Some had traveled from as far as Rumford to listen and contribute their thoughts and ideas. Most folks confessed to not being active in their local chapters of the Maine GOP. In fact, there was even an 'interested' Democrat amongst the group. She provided great insight into the operating environment in the Maine Democratic Party! Better then two hours after the event began, many in the room, young and old, were ready to contribute their skills to the Republican Project - perfect!

The room was full of many young new faces who are ready to use technology and their social networks to help better organize the GOP effort here in Maine. Expect to see many new young Republicans like those who attended on Tuesday evening getting involved and taking action on-line and within their respective communities.

Many listened attentively to Republican Project CEO Dean Scontras as he told him about the origins of the organization. He spoke about the need for Republicans to provide an 'equal and opposite' grass roots effort to the countless other Democratic PACs and non profits that operate within our state and communities and are shaping our policy and our politics. "Community organizing, like it or not, will be something that Republicans will have to learn to do."

By the evenings end, many had taken the frustration and angst of the last election cycle and were ready to turn it into positive and productive energy with the Republican Project.
