Respect??

I am deeply disturbed and offended by a recent television ad put forth by the proponents of same sex marriage.  In it, a school teacher lectures us that voting to uphold traditional marriage as being between one man and one woman somehow shows a lack of respect toward homosexuals.

Welfare Abuse Reform Public Hearing Report- Senator Brannigan: "We're Not Having Enough Babies!"

The public hearing room for the Department of Health and Human Services was packed with a standing room only crowd to hear testimony on LD 254, the 5 Point Welfare Abuse Reform bill sponsored by Rep. Rich Cebra and several co-sponsors.

On Tuesday evening, the Cumberland County Republican Committee's nomination committee decided not to recommend the Executive Committee slate of candidates proposed by Representative Rich Cebra of the 101st District. The members of the slate were called the evening before or the day of the meeting and told of the decision. Apparently the reasoning for this decision was based upon the perception that the candidates were "too conservative", and live in "the wrong part of state". Mr.

With the State of Maine facing enormous budget shortfalls we can be sure that one issue will make its perennial appearance, courtesy of the spend and tax Democrats – the Maine sales tax. Rest assured the Democrats will want to raise it, as well as broaden it to cover those few things not already subject to it. Ronald Reagan once compared Democrats to Will Rogers, saying “they never met a tax they didn’t like – or hike!”
