As my brother pointed out, the simplest and easiest way to distinguish Mr Paul's platform is to note his understanding of both libertarian law and austrian economics. (For an understanding of what I mean by "libertarian", I recommend For a New Liberty by Rothbard) Never before in America's political history have these two foundations been combined in the halls of Congress. [*Note: the only other Austrian economist (that I am aware of) in the entire federal government, is John Bratland (Senior Economist, Dept of the Interior)

Several years ago I began researching and discussing monetary policy and the gold standard as well as the origins of the constitution and its foundations in individual liberty.  Paul’s direct yet humble manner in written word caught my eye and I searched for more of his work.  His voice stands out among the Representatives as one of reason and integrity.  I am impressed by Ron Paul’s level of understanding and inspired by his dedication to public service in the name of the American ideal.

I first saw Dr Paul speak at the NH Liberty Forum before he had officially announced his candidacy. Afterwards, I had a chance to speak with Campaign Chairman Kent Snyder at a fundraiser for Ron Paul.  We spoke of the enormous potential that has become the Ron Paul Revolution.

The domestic issues we face are exasperated by misguided leadership and  undermined by a weak economy. In world affairs, our current policies are antagonistic.  Only with free markets and sound money can a truly just and prosperous economy thrive.  A humble foreign policy of non intervention is amicable, necessary and the best way to regain a reputation of defending the principles of life, liberty, and property..
